Alumni Symposium: The Art of Diversity and Inclusion

The Art of Diversity and Inclusion is designed to accomplish the following:

• Review the research supporting the need for diversity in pharmacy education
• Inspire creative thought around innovative diversity education, research, and practice
• Describe the infrastructure needed to achieve inclusion, identify challenges, prioritize strategies that would be most useful, and methods for implementation and assessment

The goal of the session is to generate and advance strategies to create innovative educational opportunities to better prepare students and to develop a diverse workforce that will have a positive impact on human health worldwide. A core value of the School is to represent, in all its dimensions, the population it serves.

We will be joined by Dean Blouin and distinguished guests. The symposium will include breakout sessions and working groups and will conclude with our PharmWorld Network event which allows our alumni to network with colleagues from the past 17 years and to contribute toward the professional development of our underrepresented students.
