CIPhER Friday Seminar – Learning Analytics: Using Course Data to Contribute Towards Student Success

This presentation provides an overview of the emerging field of Learning Analytics, and details the way campus data can be used to inform learning and instruction. Case studies include research projects and university initiatives that involve campus partnerships between faculty instructors, learning scientists, and IT groups, including an ongoing project here at Chapel Hill. Discussion will center around ways that the learning platforms students use in Pharmacy and other Schools can inform student learning and faculty instruction, and contribute towards students’ academic success.
