The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is offering a program on the upcoming changes to Medicare. Medicare 2018: The Policies, Politics, & Practical Part D Pearls will be held on October 24, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with live and online options available. The live option will be held at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill, NC. This program will cover several topics including:
- Comparing traditional Medicare with Medicare Advantage plans
- Outlining the Medicare Part D 2018 medication benefits and demonstrate how to use the CMS plan finder tool to sort plans
- Local, statewide, and federal resources that can help with Medicare Part D, including the Senior’s Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP)
- The real and possible impact of health reform on Medicare and pharmacy
