NSF Funding Workshop

The NSF funding workshop will be held exclusively for the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy on August 15, from 2-3:30 p.m. in Beard 200. Please plan on attending if you are interested in NSF funding. The workshop, which will be led by Nathan Blouin from the Office of Research Development, will cover the following topics:

1.Orientation to NSF’s mission and how it supports discovery, science and fundamental research:
◦ NSF directorates and directorate level missions
◦ Types of NSF proposals
◦ How NSF makes award decisions and the merit review process

2. Strategies for aligning your research interests with directorate priorities

3. What to expect when managing an NSF award
