PharmAlliance – Student Domain International Workshop Series: Intercultural Communication

Intercultural Communication involves the sharing of information across different cultures and social groups which include individuals with different ethnic, religious, social, and educational backgrounds. Culture plays a major role in how intercultural teams work together. This makes culture implications critical for succeeding internationally. Hear Dr. Jon Easter (Director of Center for Medication Optimization at UNC) speak at this session on how to define intercultural communication in the context of international collaboration and learn practical approaches on how to collaborate together with an international team such as bringing down cultural barriers, increasing awareness of cultural norms, and increasing self-awareness.
