WinS/ARIC/TIBBS Career Networking Lunch (CNL)

Anna Sokac, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.  She completed her doctoral training at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at Princeton University. Anna’s lab studies the role of the actin cytoskeleton in cell shape changes and the stress response in developing fruit fly embryos. She has received numerous awards for her excellence in teaching, and she serves as a Master Facilitator for the National Research Mentoring Network. In addition, Anna has implemented a campus-wide mentor training program at Baylor.
