The mission of GEO is to contribute to the personal and professional development of student pharmacists as globally minded health professionals and equip students with the skills necessary to become leaders in pharmacy education and practice on a global scale.

GEO is an umbrella organization composed of three student organizations:
1. PharmAlliance:
The mission of Pharmalliance is to encourage, educate, and promote cultural awareness of pharmacy and to promote collaboration on a global scale between University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy, University College London School of Pharmacy, and Monash University.
2. Global Ambassador Program:
The mission of the Global Ambassadors Program within GEO is to welcome visiting international students and scholars from across the globe, while educating and promoting cultural awareness of pharmacy within UNC ESOP
3. International Pharmaceutical Students Federation:
The mission of IPSF is to be the leading international advocacy organization for pharmacy students, promoting improved public health through provision of information, education, networking and a range of publications and professional initiatives.
