About Rho Chi

Rho Chi is an academic honor society in pharmacy that grants membership to the top 20% of each pharmacy class beginning in the spring of PY2 year. The Rho Chi Society seeks to advance pharmacy through intellectual leadership. Our members offer tutoring and other academic services.

  • How can I join Rho Chi?
    Membership is granted to the top 20% of each pharmacy class beginning in the spring of PY2 year
  • How much are dues?   
    National dues are covered via scholarship. Local dues are $20
  • What are my responsibilities as a member?   
    Maintain good academic standing and attend 1 GBM. Members may volunteer to tutor and assist with various events
  • How much of a time commitment is Rho Chi?   
    Minimal time commitment. It depends on how much you would like to tutor
  • What happens at Rho Chi meetings?   
    Update members about upcoming events and vote on various matters
  • What would I benefit from being a part of Rho Chi?   
    Being a member of Rho Chi is a distinction recognized throughout the profession of pharmacy that signifies excellent academic achievement. As a member you will also have an opportunity to volunteer for various events.

Rho Chi partners with Donate Life and holds an event each spring to encourage UNC students, faculty, and staff to sign up to be organ and/or tissue donors.

Rho Chi partners with Donate Life and holds an event each spring to encourage UNC students, faculty, and staff to sign up to be organ and/or tissue donors. Rho Chi also provides individualized tutoring , OSCE preparation series, and valuable skills sessions.
