As we perform our day-to-day duties, many of us often feel like our presence goes unnoticed although we are the people who spend our time and energy to ensure that the School runs smoothly behind the scenes. In August 2017, the HR Department will begin a second round of the “Pharmacy Pals Program” for all interested staff and faculty.
Small tokens of appreciation mean more to your colleagues than you imagine. With this program, all you need to do is provide us with information such as your birthday, your favorite snacks, flowers, color, or favorite holiday. Employees are secretly matched with another employee within the School – think of it like a “Secret Santa” type of program. Employees then secretly send small tokens of appreciation and recognition to their “pharmacy pal”. Suggestions are: birthday cards, flowers, snacks and homemade gifts. HR will send out email reminders once a month to make sure that participants are receiving a small token of appreciation each month. Then…during our Summer Social all “pharmacy pals” will be revealed.
If you are interested in being a part of this program, please send an email to ESOPhighfive@unc.edu expressing your interest. If you are a new participant, after expressing your interest, we will send you a form to complete which will provide us with your information. In August, we will contact you providing your secret pal’s name and information. Thank you for considering being a part of this program!
