Building Better Exams: Identifying and Avoiding Multiple-Choice Item Writing Flaws

Would you like to learn more about common item-writing mistakes that can make multiple-choice exam questions easier or more difficult than we intended? And discover how to avoid and/or fix those flaws? This introductory-level workshop will overview common multiple-choice item-writing flaws related to student testwiseness and irrelevant item difficulty. During the session you will practice identifying multiple-choice item-writing flaws and learn practical, easy-to-implement ways to improve the quality of your quizzes, tests and exams.
