Special Blood Drive

There is always a need for donated blood in this region. TIBBS and the Office of Graduate Education are hosting the Blood Connection Blood Bus to give trainees and faculty a way to help from just outside your lab.

All donors will receive a $10 gift card (Target or Chic Fil A) and the Blood Connection will make a $10 donation for every donor to the UNC Children’s Hospital. The last blood drive resulted in 52 units of blood and a $520 check for the Children’s Hospital (see picture below). In addition, every unit of blood donated can save the life of three people!
